Loggia House is positioned in the west part of Antiparos Island, on a unique estate overlooking the Aegean Sea. The archetype of the courtyard is used in order to create multiple spatial interior and exterior experiences with various degrees of privacy and rooms with multiple orientations.
The position and layout of the house is optimized in order to establish privacy from the adjacent properties and to shield its main outdoor areas from the prevailing winds. All rooms have been carefully designed in order to enjoy uninterrupted views, with large glazed openings that frame western views of the Aegean sea.
Sustainability and reducing energy consumption is a key parameter of the house. All rooms offer cross ventilation and the thick stone walls and planted roofs ensure optimum thermal insulation. Besides passive sustainability strategies, a large photovoltaic array for net metering is placed on the Eastern part of the site.
